The Hijrah was held at the UBD Chancellor Hall Lecture Theatre on January 27. The guest of honour during the celebration was UBD Vice Chancellor Dr Hj Zulkarnain bin Hj Hanafi. Also present were UBD principal officers, academic and non-academic staff, UBD students and students from invited secondary schools and institutes.
The celebration started with the recital of al-fatihah and continued with a forum titled "Hijrah Membentuk Insan Rabbani" chaired by Hj Hasharinuddin bin Hj Abu Bakar.The forum's panellists were Hilman bin Hj Salm from UBD, Muhd Azhar bin Hj Abdul Aziz from UNISSA, Mohd Shahrul Azmi bin Hj Abdul Muluk from KUPUSB and Mohd Aidil Firdaus bin Hj Jukin from ITB.
The event concluded with a presentation of tokens of appreciation to the panellists by the guest of honour.
UBD Residential College Organisation organised a tahlil and yassin recital at the UBD Residential College on January 29. The activity was supported by the UBD SAS Religious and Spiritual Unit. Present at the event was UBD Dean of Students, Dk Dr Nurolaini Pg Hj Muhd Kifli.
